Career
As a licensed master esthetician and certified acne specialist, my mission is to empower individuals to love their skin. Graduating from The Aesthetics Institute of Portland in March of 2021, my own journey from acne sufferer to skincare professional has equipped me with unique insights and expertise. I have over 3 years of hands-on experience and continuing education. With a compassionate approach and commitment to excellence, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve healthy, glowing skin and boost their confidence.
I welcome everyone, and provide a safe, LGBTQ+ and Transgender friendly space.
How I got here
Ever since I was a little girl, I was always into beauty. I loved to play with makeup, change outfits and dance in my room, pretending I was either Britney Spears or one of the Spice Girls. When I became a teenager and my hormones started to torment me, my acne got worse and worse. I found it hard to look at myself in the mirror without makeup on, to the point where I’d sleep in my makeup and wake up to reapply before anyone could see my skin without it. I was ashamed. I didn’t know how to care for my skin. I tried everything; ProActiv, St Ive’s Apricot Scrub (eek!), every skincare product that was labeled ‘for acne’, as well as every home remedy I found online. I felt helpless. I felt like I would never have nice skin. When I turned 30 I finally thought ‘enough is enough, I thought I’d grow out of this by now!’ but I had to wait months to get a dermatologist appointment. To this day, I actually thank my lucky stars I had to wait because I ended up being recommended to an Acne Specialist. Acne Specialist?! I didn’t even know there was such a thing! Sign me up! So, I made the appointment and committed myself to following their directions and advice. It took dedication, consistency, a little purging, and the yearning for clear skin, but eventually, it worked! I had never been complimented more on my skin in my life. That’s when I knew this was my calling. I wanted to help other people who were struggling, just like me. I immediately started to research esthetician schools and a few months later, I quit my career in childcare and began my journey to become a licensed esthetician!
I love what I do. I’m here to help you feel confident in your skin; because acne does not define you. You are beautiful, and you are worthy of feeling radiant when you look at your reflection.
