Microneedling

90 min Session - $275

Add Dermaplane - $25

How it works -

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a safe, effective way to improve overall skin health for all skin types. These tiny needles penetrate the epidermis without removing it, allowing for a controlled injury to stimulate our body’s biosignals for would healing, without compromising the integrity of the epidermis. Promoting regenerative healing leads to an increased production in fibroblasts and growth factors, and ultimately a spike in Type II Collagen (healthy collagen), which we begin to lose 1% of each year beginning in our early-mid 20s.

Benefits -

This treatment has been scientifically proven to address concerns such as visible signs of aging like fine lines/wrinkles and loss of elasticity in sagging skin. It also helps with acne scarring, stretch marks, enlarged pores, alopecia, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, and product penetration.

What to expect during treatment -

Although I never exceed .5mm of needle depth, some mild discomfort during treatment is normal, however I provide optional numbing before we begin treatment if you are nervous or have a low pain tolerance. During treatment, needling is combined with AnteAge growth factor serum for better penetration, then followed with a cooling hyaluronic mask post-needling to hydrate the skin and Red LED Light Therapy to reduce inflammation, promote healing and collagen synthesis.

What to expect after treatment -

You will experience mild to moderate redness and swelling (similar to sunburn) immediately after treatment. As attempting as it may be DO NOT touch or apply anything to your face for at least 24hours after your treatment. Avoid sun exposure, exercise, sweating, hot tubs, saunas for at least 3 days following treatment. You will be given an AnteAge aftercare kit ($45 value) to take home and may begin using 24 hours post-needling; you may also begin using sunscreen and makeup (preferably mineral). Some mild redness, swelling and dryness may still occur for 3-4 days; your skin should return to normal around day 4-5.

What to know before a needling treatment -

Avoid sun exposure 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you arrive with visible sun damage, your appointment will be rescheduled. Discontinue use of retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, hydroquinone and benzoyl peroxide 48 hours prior to treatment. If you have active breakouts, cold sores or any open lesions, please reschedule your appointment after you have healed. Accutane users must finish treatment and wait 6 months before needling. Botox and fillers must be done 2 weeks before/after treatment to prevent any adverse reactions from occurring. Avoid advanced treatments to face such as lasers and deep chemical peels for one month before/after treatment. Do not take blood thinners (Advil, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc.) for one week prior to treatment to avoid bleeding or bruising.
